Solid fighting vies with sensationalist plotting in this uneven period action drama.

CF: Cast Revealed for Lu Chuan's New Film
Actress Du Juan, who trounced 10,000 competitors to take on the role, was negatively received after making her first appearance in front of the media.
The reporters said that as she would be playing one of the most beautiful women in ancient Chinese history, the 20 year-old actress was not pretty enough for the character. But the director said differently.

FBA: Huayi expands film to TV
The company has announced series based on box office hits If You are the One (2008) and Aftershock  directed by Feng Xiaogang, a major shareholder in the company.

CF: Soft Porn Star Bares All again for Comedy Film
Hiro Hayama, male lead of the Hong Kong soft porn 3D film "Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy", will bare all once again for the comedy, "The Stone Age".

"A Letter to My Wife", a tearjerker adapted from an article included in Chinese high school textbooks, is now in production.
A hundred years ago, 24-year-old Lin Juemin left a letter to his wife before he joined the revolution against the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Ten months after he was killed in the uprising, the Qing Dynasty was overthrown.

Jeff Lau's Eagle Shooting Heroes 2011 opens in November. Now in post-production, more stills will be released soon.

The actress, He Du Juan, was deemed by the media as not very pretty.
