Shu Qi on Photo Album Models

On the heels of Anthony Wong's comment last week that photo models like Chrissie Chau are 'prostitutes', Shu Qi weighed in. For her part, Shu Qi felt there was nothing wrong with the photo albums as long as no 'points' are shown, there was more indecency online than in the popular photo books. She did not agree with the filming of self-promoting 'rape videos', however. Shu Qi said Anthony Wong's denunciation was understandable as he didn't want kids to be bad. Normal publicity is not bad, Chrissie Chau is a good girl, proud and well behaved. Managers determine the publicity in most cases.  Shu Qi was in Beijing finishing up Andrew Lau's Beautiful Life. (Xinhua)

  1. Wait, wait, what did Anthony Wong say? I missed it--

  2. He called the models prostitutes. (I didn't post on it.) Both Wong and Feng Xiaogang are notorious for spouting off, to the delight of the press.

  3. Why would Shu Qi say that when she did nude shoots in the old days? Sounds hypocritical to me but it does sound like she was defending those girls too.

Are you implying that flip-flops are not a good fashion choice? haha. I think Shu Qi, Gong Li, Christy Chung, or Karena Lam could make them look great but it's not like I have a foot fetish or anything.

  4. Well, I certainly could have mangled the translation. At the same time, the specific topic at issue is whether photo albums should or shouldn't be allowed to be exhibited at the Hong Kong Book Fair.

Most people don't take care of their feet and don't do anyone any favors by wearing them in public. ;D
