Summer has always been the peak season for Canto-pop stars releasing albums and promoting their upcoming concerts.

This week two veterans - singer-actor Ekin Cheng Yee-kin and songstress Sally Yip Sin-Man - announced their plans for the coming months.

While Yip revealed that she had prepared hot Latin dance moves for her Intimately Yours concerts at the Coliseum from September 22 to 24, Cheng said he would challenge himself with some sexy dance moves at his shows even though dancing was not his forte.

Cheng sang his new song, For U & Me, after the announcement on Tuesday at Causeway Bay's Neway CEO Karaoke Box that he would be adding one more night - August 27 - to his Light and Shadow concert series at the Coliseum. He had originally been slated to perform on the three preceding nights.

To congratulate Cheng on his upcoming shows, organisers East Asia Entertainment, Lamb Production and Media Asia Group prepared a pair of bicycles for him and his long-time girlfriend, TVB actress Yoyo Mung Ka-wai.

Cheng said they were light enough to bring with him on an overseas holiday. [But is it fast enough to flee a wedding?]

Other Canto-pop stars staging shows at the Coliseum this summer include Alan Tam Wing-lun, Teresa Carpio and Gary Chaw. (SCMP) (Sally Yeh-slideshow), 2 (Ekin Cheng-slideshow)
