Tony Leung Ka-Fai in Upcoming War Film

Zhejiang TV held a launch ceremony for a new war film starring Tony Leung Ka-Fai, Peter Ho Yun-Tung and Song Jia. The working title is Biandi Langyan, ( lit Alarms Everywhere) and is based on a novel of the same name. The production will start filming in November for a summer 2012 release. Striving for an epic-like story, Song Jia's character plays a teahouse proprietress, Peter Ho is an autisitic sniper and the main character. Tony Leung plays a cowardly teacher. John Woo's daughter Angeles Woo is cast as a revolutionary soldier. Earlier, it was reported to have an 80 million yuan budget for the production.

Angeles Woo's Film Debut in Reign of Assassins

John Woo's daughter had begged him to cast her in Red Cliff but he neither agreed or refused, simply saying 'next time'. Next time came in Reign of Assassins and Angeles Woo was prepared for she had studied taekwondo and fencing. In the film, Angeles plays an itinerant killer competing with Kelly Lin in search of a treasure.
