FBA: Lovesick review
Taiwan's Ariel Lin bounces back into movies with a slick rom-com about a love-shy young woman.
"Dear Enemy" is a poor movie in almost every sense, a rating of four out of 10 does it enough justice. The only explanation for its popularity is perhaps that moviegoers have had too much intense viewing of late with "The Flowers of War" and "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate", so that a modern, light-hearted film holds some appeal for them for a change, never mind how cheesy it is.

Once again, that Hong Kong movie malaise of an uneven plot and bad acting kicks in. Some scenes - particularly between Tse and Ng - are good, some simply barmy.

Derek Kwok's Frozen

Derek Kwok's fantasy-romance, Frozen, opens September 2 in Hong Kong and October 14 in mainland China. Of note, the Cantonese version will be shown to audiences in southern China . The film stars Aarif Lee  (Aarif Rahman/Lee Chi-ting), Janice Man and Janice Vidal (Wei Lan). Supporting cast members include Ti Lung, Matt Chow, Vincent Kok, Alfred Cheung, Siu Yam-Yam, Cheang Pou-Soi and a guest appearance by Leon Lai. The music of Leslie Cheung is used to return viewers back to the '80s. Janice Vidal's character accidentally travels back in time and meets a young girl who turns out to be her mother. The Chinese title is the same as the 1985 For Your Heart Only, the Leslie Cheung film with Loretta Lee.
