"The Old Cinderella" (aka "Love in Jerusalem") will be directed by newcomer Wu Bai (no, not the rocker from Taiwan). Originally announced as Zhang Jingchu's directorial debut, the actress has had to step away to her disappointment. Under questioning from the media, Zhang said that the reason was that the start of production was delayed from February to March and she had not considered the post-production schedule. So as to not delay progress she gave up her role and producer Lu Chuan brought in newcomer Wu Bai. Zhang Jingchu said that she would not give up and hoped to direct some day in the future.
