Wong Jing's upcoming film "Marrying Mr. Perfect" is set to hit cinemas nationwide on March 16. Prior to its release, a series of still photos featuring gorgeous Liu Yan have been released.

In a recent newspaper interview, Vincent Zhao claimed that script changes on "Special Identity" lead to an argument between director Clarence Fok and cinematographer Peter Pau. Also, Zhao said that the changes reduced his role to that of a supporting cast member.

Following the high-profile filming of "The Viral Factor" in Kuala Lumpur last year, it seems that more Hong Kong filmmakers are looking to Malaysia for filming locations for their movies and this year, award-winning actors Aaron Kwok and Nick Cheung are that batch of Hong Kong stars, having arrived here recently to shoot Oxide Pang's detective thriller titled "Conspirator".

A program about two-time NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury, who has adjusted well to life in China after moving here in 2010, will be the first of 14 nonfiction documentaries from the Vibrant China series.

CRI: Sun Honglei Awarded the Most Disappointing Actor
The 3rd Golden Broom Awards took place Saturday afternoon, doling out 13 Golden Brooms in total. Lacking in attendance at the award ceremony were movie stars.

Famous mainland actor Sun Honglei was awarded the most disappointing actor for his character as renowned ancient strategist Sun Bin in The Warring States. A-list Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung won the most disappointing actress for both her performances in Legendary Amazons and Treasure Hunt. 

The Flowers of War, nominated at the Golden Globes, was given a special jury's version of "the most disappointing movie" award. 

Zhang Weiping, producer of Zhang Yimou's The Flowers of War, blames Hollywood and the United States press for "Nanjing Massacre denial".

Wong Jing revealed that Huang Xiaoming has joined the cast of "Once Upon a Time in Shanghai" with Chow Yun-Fat and Sammo Hung. Both Chow and Huang have played the lead character, Hui Man Keung, in TV series versions of the story. Yuan Quan (Yolanda Yuan) and Yuan Li were also named as joining the cast. A Lunar New Year release is planned.

Now filming in Shanghai, it was revealed that Donnie Yen will be joining the set next year. The cast also includes Louis Fan Siu-Wong, Yang Mi, Xu Jiao and Dennis To Yu-hong. Zhao said that he had not filmed a fight scene in years but still practiced martial arts to keep fit. He looked forward to working and sparring with Donnie Yen.

The film "The Sword Identity" tells the legendary story of a sabre coming out from a military camp, wanders from place to place, making ripples on the world of martial arts, before finally being recognized by orthodox denomination of martial arts .


The Patrick Leung-Corey Yuen martial arts-action film "Great Wudang" held a press conference in Hubei yesterday. The cast includes Vincent Zhao (Chiu Man-Cheuk), Louis Fan, Yang Mi and Dennis To (To Yuhang) and Xu Jiao. A summer 2012 release is planned.

As 2011 draws to a close, celebrities have made this the year of the showbiz wedding.
In terms of sumptuousness, [Coco] Lee and Rockowitz’s nuptials lead the field, with two days of celebrations that reportedly cost NT$600 million [US$19M]. The wedding was rated by the press as the most expensive to be held in Hong Kong.
