FBA: Apple seeks bite of Asian content market
Asian film content is at the moment limited. For example, only one Asian movie — the hit romantic comedy Love Is Not Blind from China — is available on the Taiwan store. It features optional English subtitles, but no Chinese subtitles.

Hollywood titles dominated Mainland China's boxoffice chart for ten straight weeks, in each week the Hollywood blockbusters accounted for more than 70% of the weekly grosses. But the situation finally shifted this past week thanks to the strong performances of newly released domestic titles.



Huang Xiaoming and Fan Bingbing attended the record of song "Best Wishes from Beijing" on Thursday. The song shows the best wishes to London Olympic Games from Beijing.

In May, 80 fans streamed into a live music venue on the outskirts of Beijing to see their idol Jane Zhang. The small room was packed, and the 27-year-old singer made two wardrobe changes and sang 15 songs. The recording of that session, Listen to Jane Z Live, has now been released.

2011 Beijing Pop Music Awards [Roast Pork Sliced From A Rusty Cleaver] (飲水思源)

Jane Zhang Liangying won the award for Best Female Singer (Mainland) at a concert and awards ceremony at the Beijing Olympic Sports Center Stadium on the evening of the 19th.

Jay Chou won Favorite Male Artist of the Year (HK/TW), A-Mei (Chang Hui-mei) took the awards for Album of the Year (HK/TW) and Best Female Singer (HK/TW). Most Popular Female Singer of the Year went to Stephanie Sun (HK/TW) and Li Yuchun (Chris Lee)(Mainland). Yang Mi took the prize for Most Popular New Artist (Female). Jay Chou and Li Yuchun also won Artist of the Year awards. Yoga Lin, Song Zuying, Bibi Chou, Tan Weiwei were also awarded prizes.

Yu Na deleted from Legendary Amazons?
According to various reports and rumours, most of Yu Na's scenes have been deleted in Legendary Amazons, starring Cecilia Cheung.
