Xu Jiao and "Mr. Go" [Roast Pork Sliced From A Rusty Cleaver] (飲水思源)

Earlier this month, the Chinese press reported that Xu Jiao's film career will, at least temporarily, be on hold as she relocates to the US to attend high school (in Chicago, living with a host family) and, eventually, university. While this might be the last film for the "Chinese Shirley Temple" (okay, I made that up - I think) for the near future, Xu Jiao (Josie Xu) told interviewers that she might consider scripts while she is living overseas. Another film with Xu Jiao, starring Vivian Hsu and Alan Kuo, "Rhythm of the Rain" will not be released until next year. (Sina)

Child actress Josie Xu Jiao, posted photos of herself dressed in a maid's outfit at a Christmas display in Hangzhou a few days ago. When her pictures appeared on her weibo, Xu Jiao drew negative comments from 'cosers' for her outfit. The "real" cosplay fans disparaged her because her maid outfit was not a true cosplay costume (I think that's the issue). "...Some people said I do not respect cos but even though I am not a professional, I like animation and have a fanatical love for cos."  Poor Xu Jiao sincerely apologized to the professionals. She had gone to Hangzhou expressly to participate at a comic-con.

"My room is plastered with posters of anime, comic books are on the shelves, buy wigs and clothes on Taobao (an internet portal).  I learn to K-on electric guitar*, even though I had never before been interested in musical instruments, and I really fell in love with the guitar, because of K-on. On the 26th I was in Beijing for work and at 6 am had to catch a flight back to Hangzhou, to participate in the convention."

Finally, Xu Jiao apologized again, saying that though she was not a professional she would stick with it and try very hard; and to all professional cosers she apologized and hoped that they would understand her.

CF: Bond Girl Maria Grazia Cucinotta to Cooperate with Chinese Actor Huang Bo
Maria Grazia Cucinotta, the Italian Bond Girl from "007: The World is not Enough," recently turned up for the launch ceremony of her new romance comedy "All about Marriage" on October 24 in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, in Southwest China.

Fantasy romance film, "Painted Skin 2" has finished filming scenes in Beijing, Hebei and Inner Mongolia. The location of filming has now switched to Tibet, where the creators and cast members will work intensively for a 20-day period.

Directed by Wong Jing, and starring Gigi Leung, Chapman To, Ronald Cheng and Xie Na, the film tells the tale of the events following an encounter between a "leftover" lady, unmarried in her thirties, and a comical billionaire.

Award-winning actor Zhang Hanyu aims to inject charisma into the role of the most skilled army counselor of the late Qin dynasty in his latest project, costume blockbuster "White Vengenace".

The film tells the tale of men and women living in a busy city, who pursue love. Their pursuits lead to several soul-stirring accidents, as they attempt to secure true love. The plot follows three separate stories of three couples, with Cecilia Cheung and Kwon Sang-woo playing one of the couples.
