Ronny Yu: 'I'm Tired of Being Pigeonholed As a Horror Film Director (THR)
Boasting a cast of young heartthrobs from mainland China (Yu Bo), Taiwan (Vic Zhou and Wu Chun) and Hong Kong (Ekin Cheng and Raymond Lam), and the action choreography of Stephen Tung (Seven Swords, Bodyguards and Assassins),the film will make its market premiere at Berlin next month before opening in China and Hong Kong on April 4. Pegasus, which also handles the film’s international sales, is looking to ink French and Korean distribution deals at the European Film Market, and also seek U.S. distributors there.
The film wraps with Ann Hui’s My Way - starring Francis Ng and Jade Leung - about a pre-op transsexual man nervously waiting for his operation. It is a stylishly melancholic film, and defined by the moment when he goes to the hospital for the operation, goes to sleep in the male ward (next to a newspaper reading old man) and wakes as a woman in the female ward…and finally indulging in a smile of relief and happiness.

Treasure Hunt review: No real treasure
Little Lucas Tse (played by the real son of Cheung and Nicholas Tse), is cuter than he looks, but the kid needs to stay out of the set. What he should do now is watch and learn if he were ever to follow his parents' footsteps. His special appearance in the movie (as Cheung's screen son) might help boost ticket sales, but there isn't much to expect from the kid.

31 year-old Chinese actress Shao Xiaoshan posted on her microblog that she was forced to act as a "honey trap" for military intelligence since she was 17 years old. She seduced Western embassy officials, including the son of the French ambassador to China in 2007, to gather information. Shao claimed that she no longer wanted to do evil things, authorities no longer paid the cost of living and would not let her emigrate. She risked her life and was not exaggerating. The post was immediately removed and her agent said that it was a result of too much drinking.
