At recent appearance in Chengdu, Lin Chi-ling's face appeared swollen leading to the usual speculations about plastic surgery. Lin blamed it on eating too many snacks and spicy Sichuan food.

I still get a bit surprised by the obsession that the Chinese entertainment media with cosmetic surgery on Chinese actresses and models, possibly because it is so common in the United States.
Why all the attention to it in China?
"So Close" is my fav Shu Qi film. I wish they'd make a sequel (and somehow bring her character back).
Two of those photos of Lin Chiling - her face is really puffy - maybe she's allergic to something?!?! I've never seen spicy food do that to anyone - looks like someone else.
