Cecilia's bruised right cheek

Cecilia Cheung was struck in the face recently while filming a fight scene for Lady Generals of the Yang Family in Inner Mongolia. A stuntman accidently struck her while brandishing a knife. Director Frankie Chan wanted to send her to the hospital but Cecilia continued filming for fear that the bruise would continue to color and she did not want to affect the tight shooting schedule. Returning to Beijing for an brand endorsement event Cecilia joked she would find a purple gown to match special makeup for the bruise.(Xinhua)

Gillian Chung celebrated her 30th birthday with crew and fans who visited in her Wuxi where she is filming a TV series. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of Twins.

CRI: Faye Wong Kicks off Concert in Taipei

Jacky Cheung, who turns 50 years-old this year, kicked off his Half Century Concert tour in Shanghai with a series of shows Dec. 30 - Jan. 3.  This week, Jacky took to the stage in Guangzhou for five shows (Jan. 13 - 17). The concert includes inflatable dolls of Lydia Shum to commemorate his godmother, and a Andrew Lau-directed video, a condensed biography, with Shu Qi and Jacky together as a married couple that has been dubbed 'If You Are the One 3' -- the two even exchange slaps to the face. Jacky showed off his tap dancing which he secretly studied on a trip to the US last year by opening the show with a Broadway musical-style routine. The concert is broken up in sections, Broadway, rock, intimate, hot jazz, etc.

Jacob Cheung's Rest on Your Shoulder Stills

First stills from Jacob Cheung's Rest on Your Shoulder have been released. The film features Chen Kun, Guei Lun-Mei, Jiang Yiyan and Gigi Leung. A spring 2011 release is planned. The film combines science fiction and an environmental protection theme and will feature both animation and computer generated effects.

Flying in from Jiangxi to Guangdong, Brother Sharp (Cheng Guorang) was described as hesitant and had some stage fright in his first public appearance. Viewers said that Brother Sharp no longer possesses his original charm. Audience expectation was too high and thus they were disappointed. According to reports, Brother Sharp has lost his natural beauty, missing his sunken deep set eyes and a look of bitterness. Underneath his designer clothes, Brother Sharp was quiet, cautious, and nervously fearful, the image of a small man. (Xinhua)
