Shamelessly raiding Dada Chan's weibo for some recent images. Surprisingly pensive and introspective...

Just saw Vulgaria last night in San Francisco. There were only six people in the audience and -- LOL -- two of them left during the second blowjob scene.
It was a fun movie, although perhaps too arcane for those who don't speak Cantonese or obsessively watch HK movies.
Dada Chan gave a good performance, very natural. It reminded me, not surprisingly, to Shu Qi's turn in Viva Erotica. Hopefully, it will also lead her to better acting opportunities.

When I saw it Saturday afternoon, there was only 1 other person there and I think he was there FOR the blowjob scenes!!!
I enjoyed it a lot. It had a lot of heart, in addition to all the ribaldry.
Funny, I thought of Shu Qi, too. (Okay, I'm always thinking of her!) And, Dada's weibo posts reminded me of Shu Qi, too. She seems sad.
