White Vengeance (Banquet at Hongmen) - Beijing Press Conference
Liu Yifei and cast mates were introduced to the press in Beijing April 7. Anthony Wong's status was unknown, he was though to be playing Xiang Yu. Currently rumours have Feng Shao-Feng in the role.

A tale of fame, love and revenge, the film is the story of two orphans adopted into an opera troupe at the end of the 19th century. They are trained in Peking Opera and martial arts and become sensations in Shanghai.
FBA: To and Wai again Romancing with Media Asia
The film is shooting in Shangri-la in China's Yunnan province and stars Louis Koo as a superstar dumped by his girlfriend, played by Gao Yuanyuan. He flies off to Shangri-la to seek peace, but falls in love with another character played by Sammi Cheng).

Tai Chi was originally slated as a martial arts drama tracing the life story of 19th century tai chi master Yang Lu-chan, with Jet Li confirmed as the lead and Stephen Fung at the helm.
But the colorful life of the founder of the Yang school of tai chi proved too eventful for the producers, who decided to spread the biography into a three-part series. Part one will detail the master’s young life from age 17 through 25, with an as yet-unconfirmed young Chinese actor in the lead. Li will take part in the second installment, and an older actor will portray the martial artist’s later years in the third.
CRI: Stars Return to 'Painted Skin 2
This time, Wuershan, director of the film "Dao Jian Xiao", or "The Butcher, the Chef and the Swordsman", has taken over the directorial reins from Gordon Chan with Chen Kuo-fu as executive producer.

Tentatively titled Stereo Symphony On the New Long March, the roughly 75-minute film will feature footage shot around two New Year’s 2010 concerts Cui gave in December at Beijing’s outdoor Workers' Stadium cut together with interviews with the rock legend and his fans.

CRI: China's First Mutated-Creature Film Due out Aug. 6 (City Under Siege)
In the film, Aaron Kwok plays a careless man who makes a living performing at a vaudeville theater. While he is performing in Malaysia, he and some of his associates travel into the remote mountains in search of treasure. During their trek they absorb a biochemical gas left behind by the Japanese army during WWII.
In the film Yen plays Guan Yunchang, a legendary general of the Shu Kingdom in the novel "The Romance of Three Kingdoms," one of the Four Classical Chinese Novels.
Chan got the idea from the film "One Armed Swordsman," but he decided to create a new story which is more bloody and cruel. Takashi Kaneshiro will costar.
If the characters in East Wind Rain and Shanghai had been real people, they couldn't help but bump into each other. Set at the same time, in the same city (where it conveniently rains at moments of high drama), the two films are the flip-side of the same coin: Shanghai through western eyes, East Wind Rain through Chinese ones.

Echoes of the Rainbow is one of a growing series of films (from Mr.Cinema to the recent (Gallants) in which Hong Kong filmmakers have begun to assert their separate Cantonese identity by looking back at "rosier" times as China gradually hijacks the territory's film industry and future.

Lu Chuan was formally announced as the director of Banquet at Hongmen after rumors had him being possibly replaced by Daniel Lee. The film now as a new Chinese title King's Feast. The film will be a joint venture with Taiwan's Central Motion Picture and a US company besides Mainland participation and is expected to start filming in October. In fact, there are potentially two films to come out of the project, one on the greater epic story and one focusing on just the banquet incident. After Apple Daily exposed Ronald Cheng and Charlene Choi's marriage certificate, the pair held a press conference at 6:30 p.m.
Ronald and Charlene were both emotional and teary while speaking to the media.

"Banquet at Hongmen" has become a colloquial Chinese term to refer to treachery or a trap hidden in an act of goodwill.
A never before released Anita Mui 2001 concert video will be screened at the Hong Kong Exhibition Center Dec.29. Guests appearing in the concert include Kelly Chen and Jacky Cheung. Proceeds will be donated to the charity Oxfam.
