Chinese movie director Jiang Wen used a key word Saturday to tell Taiwan movie lovers what he tries to express in his works:

Peter Chan visited Jimmy Wang Yu in Taiwan while doing publicity for Wu Xia. The director brought fruit and chicken and felt a little more at ease after seeing Wang Yu in person. Wang Yu is rehabilitating after suffering a stroke last month. Besides watching his diet and giving up wine, Wang Yu has been exercising his left arm and walking the stairs at home. Even going so far as threatening to drive with one hand to the rehab center, Wang Yu said he scared the wits out of his assistants. He promised director Chan that he would attend the Taiwan and Hong Kong premieres on July 20 and July 26.

Web Ratings Disabled for Chinese Communist Party Film
Two popular movie review websites in China have disabled the star rating system for the film. The sites, douban.com and mtime.com, are also not allowing users to leave written reviews about the movie.

Most of Cheung's fighting scenes from her upcoming movie "The Lion Roars 2" has reportedly been omitted out from the script due to her pregnancy.
It is believed that the actor would be signed under the same company as Japanese-Taiwanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro and would focus on making movies.

Andy Lau is confirmed as cast in the lead for the international action-mystery film based on the historic Chinese painting, Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains. Filming begins in September and will take place in Dubai, Tokyo, Taipei, Milan in addition to locations in China. Zhao Wei and Lin Chi-Ling were previously reported as the likely female costars. Production was originally slated to begin in May but was delayed to accommodate Andy Lau's concert tour schedule. The film will be a US co-production with teams from Canada, South Korea, and Japan and Chinese and American directors. Andy's character will be a version of the James Bond-007 legend. (Sina), 2
First picture of Jimmy Wang Yu since his recent stroke. Wang Yu said that the doctor told him there was no stroke like his, three days in bed and then he was up walking. The left side was still weak but his speech and walking was normal.

Wu Xia Cast Meets With the Media - Beijing
(May 20) The cast of Wu Xia met with the press in Beijing to promote Peter Chan's Wu Xia. Peter Chan praised Donnie Yen's action choreography. Host TV presenter Cui Yongyuan teased Tang Wei. He said, "You always seem a little nervous because the press always ask you about old problems. Rest assured, I will not, I am CCTV, we very strictly controlled." Tang Wei was amused and did not know how to respond. Cui asked her to relax.
