Distribution Workshop has picked up international sales rights to the Jet Li film The Sorcerer And The White Snake. Hong Kong action choreographer and film director/producer Tony Ching Siu-tung is directing the film.

Eva Huang (Kung Fu Hustle) stars as the White Snake of the title, who transforms into a beautiful woman to rescue and live with the man she falls in love with – an herbal physician played by Raymond Lam. When their town is plagued by a mysterious disease, she sacrifices her supernatural power and energy to help him save people but is found out to be a serpent when the Sorceror played by Jet Li arrives. Charlene Choi of The Twins Effect series also stars as Green Snake who helps the white one.

Mr. and Mrs. Single - Launch Conference
(Oct.19) Patrick Kong (Yip Lim-Sum) led the Beijing launch conference for a workplace comedy, Mr. and Mrs. Single. The cast includes Eason Chan, Harlem Yu, Bai Bing, and Rene Liu. Eason Chan and Bai Bing play husband and wife, Rene Liu is his boss, a perfume company executive and Harlem Yu has the role of a playboy. The hot topic of secret marriages is at the center of the story. The film is adapted from a theatrical production of the same name and a May 2011 release is planned.

The Message has been on whirlwind media tour around the country. The film is a Huayi Brothers and Fox joint venture. The stellar cast will include Nic Tse, Daniel Wu, Barbie Hsu, Vivian Hsu, and Duan Yihong. When Jacky was asked about the difference between Rene and his recent costar Tang Wei (Crossing Hennessy), he replied that Rene was more experienced and Tang Wei needed more time as she was still new.
