Thanks for the New Year medley! I didn't know the history of the Gong Xi song. I *really* love Yao Li and her brother's original version.

dave - Great link! I'm a sucker for Choi San Dou. Learning that Gong Xi Gong Xi Ni is a end of war celebration song makes it doubly poingnant. Of course, finding the Yao Li version, I immediately thought of you. It really is a nice version.
